Kakao Unveils Group Slogan “Closer with Kakao” For Greater Inclusivity

[September 30, 2024] Kakao (CEO Shina Chung) announced its group slogan “Closer with Kakao” to promote greater group inclusivity. This slogan succinctly summarizes Kakao's mission of "bringing the future we need closer, using technology that understands people."

 

The purpose of Kakao’s efforts for greater inclusivity is to strengthen the growth and capabilities of various stakeholders, such as users, partners, creators, future talents, and digitally vulnerable groups. With its technologies and services, Kakao is promoting business success by linking partners with customers, bridging the digital gap, and supporting future developers and creators to realize their dreams.

 

Under the new slogan, Kakao is rolling out the following new programs: Project Dangol, which supports small business owners communicate with customers using digital technologies; digital education classes for seniors to improve their digital literacy; Kakao Tech Boot Camp and Good Digital World that help future talents strengthen their digital citizenship and technical capabilities; and Tech For Impact that seeks to address social issues with technology.

 

With the announcement of its new slogan, Kakao will create synergistic effects by integrating all inclusivity projects that used to be promoted separately by its affiliates. It is scheduled to implement various projects, such as developing an integrated inclusivity platform website, and holding user-participatory events.

 

An official of Kakao stated, “Kakao will conduct various campaigns following the announcement of this newly integrated inclusivity slogan,” and added, “Kakao will use its technologies and services to continue to address social issues for the life and future that we all need.” [End]
