Kakao recently hosted a meaningful event at Pangyo Agit where renowned IT experts and senior specialists, including Andi Gutmans (co-author of open source PHP and VP for Databases at Google) and GD Jeong (CTO of Kakao Tech), gathered for an insightful tech talk.

 

At this event, they discussed their experiences of the decades-long technological changes in IT from the early days of the web and the advent of the internet to the current era of artificial intelligence.

 

Through the IT insights they shared, we learned of the challenges they faced and how they overcame obstacles. What was particularly impressive was Andi's story of how he went from piecing things together in the early days of web development to scaling the most innovative database services, and GD's story of the things he had experienced at the frontline of the mobile shift. Their tech talk revealed much of their insights and concerns regarding the past, present and future of technological changes in IT, which would contribute to assisting developers facing new changes.
